Good People! After All, is that not what truly matters. When I AM rolling in my car, I want to know that the folks who work on my vehicle ALWAYS have my best interest in mind. Simple.

Honestly, the way I was treated was so unprofessional. The attitude, the tone — everything was unnecessary. I came in just trying to ask a simple question, and instead I got talked to like I was bothering him. I don't know how someone working in customer service thinks it's okay to act like that. It was rude, it was dismissive, and it really left a bad impression on me. After that experience, I wouldn’t recommend doing business at this establishment.

WARNING UC Berkeley Students and Staff: I must say, This is probably the worst customer service I have ever received in all of my years in the auto industry. The older gentleman was extremely rude and did not even make eye contact with me after I asked multiple follow-up questions. He then proceeded to open my car door with my wife seated in the car. She greeted him and said hello, and he didn’t even acknowledge her. Spend your money somewhere else, people. I would not support this business at all after my experience of racism and discrimination. YENs Auto is minutes away with excellent customer service.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Gilman Auto Repair in Berkeley, and I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service I received. This establishment has truly set the bar high when it comes to automotive care. The technicians at Gilman Auto Repair demonstrated a remarkable level of expertise and attention to detail when tuning up my car. They took the time to thoroughly assess its needs and provided honest recommendations for maintenance and repairs. I felt confident knowing that my vehicle was being serviced by skilled professionals who truly care about their craft. What impressed me the most was the quality of workmanship delivered by Gilman Auto Repair. Both times I left the shop, my car ran smoother and more efficiently than ever before. WARNING, WARNING, RED ALERT!!!... DECEPTION, PRICE CHANGES, CHARGES FOR DIAGNOSTIC TEST EVEN THOUGH YOU GET EXPENSIVE REPAIRS ON YOUR VEHICLE. This place is TERRIBLE!!! The Mechanic, Sam, kept changing the prices, at first the diagnostic test was $150.00 and then he changed it to $170.00 and free if I had repairs done (that was a lie). Then Sam recommended a lot of extra repairs to be done on my vehicle, other than what I asked for. However, when I did not want to have the extra repairs, he suggested, Sam charged me for the diagnostic test, even though I had an expensive repair done on my vehicle. He also kept changing the prices of the parts I needed. The prices kept increasing. When I went to pick up my vehicle Sam was on the phone for at least 35 minutes trying to figure out how to accept a credit card payment, he also charges the customers for using their credit cards. Don't waste your time, energy, raising your blood pressure or money at this place. What a Horrible repair shop!!!! I wish I could give it a ZERO...... I am very disappointed with this shop. Grade F-
